Crisis Intervention

Purpose:

To support disabled persons in their homes during times of crisis, assuring that they remain safe in the least restrictive environment that meets their needs.  Services are short term, generally two weeks, but may be extended for subsequent periods of two weeks.

Services Provided Include:

• Crisis evaluation and plan of care

• Emergency staffing and/or housing

• Counseling
• Planning to address behavioral needs
• Coordination of community supports (school, work, etc.)
• Therapeutic equipment needs
• Other goods and services approved by state regional office
