OPTIONS is private non-profit agency located in
Hammond, Louisiana that has
been providing services for people with
developmental disabilities since 1973. The
organization was started by parents and
continues to have family members on its Board of
Directors.
OPTIONS mission is to help people with
disabilities live and work in the community.
OPTIONS is committed to providing a safe,
nurturing, family-like environment. We work
with family members to assist each individual in
addressing their individual needs.
OPTIONS operates four community homes that
provide twenty-four hour residential services
and a comprehensive supported living program.
OPTIONS provides a wide spectrum of vocational
training, supervised group work such as
shredding, janitorial services, individual job
placement, job coaching, family support and
transportation.
Many of our staff have been with OPTIONS for 5
to 25 years. They are devoted to providing
quality care.
We particularly invite questions from
parents/siblings of individuals who may be
moving out into the community for the first
